Allan plays for Prestwich BC on Sunday Mornings, the rest of
the time he plays for local rivals Prestwich Cons. Alan is a captain's dream
player, not only being consistent but never arguing and willing to play in any
position, always saying "I'll leave it to you".
Allan only managed to win one of his matches in the Premier Cup in 2002, but
he rarely gets beaten badly. In the first round he narrowly lost to A. Gardner
(Royton CC) 20-21, in the quarter finals he beat J. Collier (Springhead Libs)
21-16, and he lost to M. Chamberlain (Grapes Hotel) 14-21 in the semi-final.
