"MidiKar"and "MidiKarQ"

Midi/Karaoke File Players

Freeware Windows 95,98, ME, XP or Vista programs to play MIDI music files and display lyrics where available.

This program has got absolutely nothing to do with Crown Green Bowls but it is included as the only way in which I can repay those people who generate some of these files which keep me entertained. My musical talents don't extend to producing music files to give back to the midi community , but my programming skills have allowed me to generate a couple of combined player/jukebox programs which are available below.

"MidiKar" comes in two variants.

The first, the original 'MidiKar', includes its own file manager and was initially released in early 1999 on the midi newsgroup, from which I got a lot of positive response. This is the latest version. Just download this zip file, extract the midikar.exe file, and run it.

MidiKar - Midi/Karaoke Player

The second version, called 'MidiKarQ', is my latest offering and is what I use myself. It is a 'drag and drop' program used in conjuction with the Windows File Manager, allowing midi and karaoke files to be dropped into it's playlist. Hopefully you will find it as easy to use as I do. Just download this zip file, extract the midikarq.exe file, and run it.
