This is a version history of "All But!". The result of many sleepless nights and the pulling out of any last hair I had!

Version 8.1b
(March 2008)

  • Minor fix to allow new users to select Club Registration. NOTE: it is much better to load a previous season before selecting New Season - this way all greens, clubs, teams and players are loaded. Please don't type everything in each year, you've got much better ways to spend your time!
Version 8.1a
(Feb 2008)
  • New compiler to support Vista etc. Only minor modifications (no major new features)
  • HTML (web-page) updates - thanks for user reports
  • Version 8.1a fixes fixture generation for new leagues

Version 8.0
(Feb 2007)

  • Minor bug corrections.
  • Support for Team KO competitions with up to 128 teams
  • Random team selection for KO fixtures.

Version 7.1

  • The auto-fixture generation has been improved (especially for divisions of >10 teams) - now 100x faster
  • Allows leagues to not count Walk-Overs towards player averages
  • Edit League Details and Edit Season merged into a single dialogue box
  • Improved Player Registration dialogues
  • New web-page layout (optional coloured banner and tables) - see Prestwich League for example - in 7.1b
  • Bug fixes (including save of data as change between leagues) - in 7.1b
  • Fix for using correct day of week for teams when generating fixtures - in 7.1c
  • Fix for correct fixture generation with selected unavailable greens/dates - in 7.1d
  • Fix for correct removal of a team after fixtures have been generated - in 7.1e
  • Support for games other than 21-up (from 11 to 31-up) - in 7.1g

(May 2004)

  • Major NEW auto-fixture generation - hopefully the most sophisticated fixture generator available
  • Improved Reports and Cup Match handling
  • Team Averages webpages extended to include team results and remaining fixtures
  • Support for web-page background and text colour selection
  • Allow league settings to up be updated until matches are played (for all people who don't get it right in New Season).

(Feb/Apr. 2004)

Minor Updates:

  • The setting of user defined displays/printouts has been corrected.
  • Added the ability to set separate Home and Away walkover scores
  • Allow the setting of teams of 4 players.
  • A fix to ensure the correct player is selected from long lists when inputting match results.
  • A fix to allow away scores to be updated correctly when inputting match results.

Version 6.0b
(Jan. 2004)

Major Release for 2004:

  • Support for user define reports (selected columns and names etc)
  • Full use of the clipboard for quickly exporting formatted tables and averages
  • Support for longer team names
  • Improved result inputting, allowing keyboard shortcuts (extremely quick entry now possible).
  • Supports a vast range of league/averages ordering and match result calculations.

Allow user defined page borders on printouts to cope with headed paper.

Adds the ability to output a weekly report in text format (instead of just printer/fax output) so that details can be passed to newspapers by email etc.
Adds the display of positions in tables and averages lists, with joint positions be identified.
Minor updates: allows deductions for infringements for aggregate based leagues, player transfers to be performed easily, control of whether to use BCGBA Numbers, and control of whether to use player and/or team handicaps.
